Carolyn Savage, Head of Partnerships and Consumer Services at the Skills Funding Agency. Carolyn is currently leading some of the work in the apprenticeship growth plan working with partners and other government departments to contribute towards growing the 3 million starts target by 2020. She will give an overview of apprenticeships, how to find them, how best to advise students and future developments.
Dr Robin Johnson, Senior Learning and Teaching Fellow, Marketing Operations and Digital Business at Manchester Metropolitan University. Robin’s latest work has focused on the development of new work-based degrees, including iBusiness, Business Technology and the Digital & Technology solutions degree apprenticeship. He will talk about the range of degree apprenticeships offered at MMU and the employers involved.
A buffet lunch will be available 12.30 for 12.45 and the meeting will begin at 13:30. An open forum will follow the presentations in which those present can network, share ideas and exchange examples of good practice.
