|Topic:||Higher and Degree Apprenticeships|
Many university graduates are finding it difficult to get work which they find fulfilling, and all of them are facing a mountain of debt which will take a long time to pay off.
A Higher or Degree Apprenticeship may seem an attractive alternative, as students get paid while they are studying and may have long term job prospects with one organisation. But what areas do they cover? How easy are they to get onto? How challenging are they?
We welcome speakers from Aviva, which offers a range of apprenticeships in areas related to insurance, and from Aston University, which is offering a new Software Engineering degree reserved for apprentices with Capgemini and other organisations.
The meeting will begin at 11:30, with lunch available from 12:30. Our speakers will address us at 2:00, followed by an open forum to network, share ideas and exchange examples of good practice. If you are unable to come for the whole day, you are welcome to join us at lunch time or for the talks.
