We have pleasure in confirming details of our next regional meeting in the North West. Our two speakers will be:

Stephen has worked in HE careers since 2002 and for the last seven years has led the multi award-winning Careers and Employability Service at the University of Huddersfield. The university is now considered a sector-leader in work-based placements and preparing students for graduate-level careers. Stephen also sits on the board of directors for the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS), a position that enables him to influence directly UK government policy on skills, social mobility and employability. Stephen will speak about how the university helps students develop their employability and prepares them for the world of work.

Janet Willis – Careers Consultant, University of Manchester. Janet is a qualified careers practitioner with over 31 years’ experience and she currently works at the University of Manchester, providing careers guidance and managing and developing projects. Janet has an expert understanding of the Graduate Labour Market and has presented at UCAS and CRAC national conferences on the Graduate Labour Market and at the AGCAS conference on Widening Participation work. She also contributed to the ‘What do Graduates Do?’ publication between 2004 and 2011. Janet will talk about the current Graduate Labour Market.
